The Standard Home Inspection: What The Inspector Checks

"Do I Need to Be Present For The Inspection?"

This is one of the most frequently asked questions that Home Inspectors receive. Simply put...No, the client is not required to be present for the inspection. A typical home inspection will take anywhere from 2-3 hours depending on the size, age, and condition of systems and components. I understand if the customer decides not to be present for the inspection.

That said, I always recommend the client be present because it's a great opportunity for them to learn about the systems and components of the home. They can ask questions and get a quick answer about any concerns they may have. Any home inspector should be glad to have the client follow along, asking questions along the way.

The findings of the inspection will always be delivered to the client in a detailed report along with pictures and diagrams showing areas of concern. However, a report can never replace direct interaction and conversation between an inspector and the client. Logan always enjoys serving his clients by answering their questions and educating them about the home. Bottom line is that the client should do whatever they're comfortable with. Your inspector will do a thorough job whether you're there or not. Give Logan a call today and see why Gratehouse Inspections is the best choice for your Home Inspection. (325)455-8830.
